This document outlines some of the boundaries that are to be respected in carrying out the mission of MAP, with a clear recognition that all boundary issues cannot be addressed in any one document, due to the uniqueness and diversity of each relationship. Any unclear or ambiguous issues should be discussed with the MAP Team supervisor.

The following points are boundaries that will be established between focal members and MAP coaches:
" There is to be no romantic or sexual involvement whatsoever between focal members and coaches.
" Team members will use their first names only.
" Coaches are not to invite focal members to their homes or place of work.
" Focal members are not to work directly for coaches.
" Coaches are to respect focal member's confidentiality and are to discuss the focal member's situation with no one but the MAP Team supervisor and MAP Community Chaplain.
" There is to be no money or goods exchanged between coaches and focal members.
" The focal member will be able to contact the coaches by using the MAP phone number.
" Coaches cannot lend their motor vehicles to the focal member.
" Coaches cannot take responsibility for a focal member's money, prescriptions, decisions, etc
" Alcohol and drugs can have no part in a MAP Team's meetings
" Coaches cannot meet individually with the focal member.
